I’m guessing that like most people, you probably have multiple e-mail accounts, some of which you use more than others. Since people may send Windows Live invitations to any of your e-mail addresses (work, school, personal), it can sometimes get confusing when you want to build out your network at a single, primary Windows Live ID. Let’s walk through a few scenarios for how to deal with this.
Situation: You have a primary e-mail address you regularly use to sign into Windows Live, but you get invitations sent to another e-mail address.
- From your invitation e-mail, click the View invitation button.
This will open up a page in your web browser.
- If you’re not signed in to Windows Live yet, you will be prompted to sign in. Make sure you’re signed in with your primary e-mail address, the one where you want to accept the invitation.
- After signing in, you will be on the All Invitations page. Now, depending on whether or not the e-mail address that the invitation was sent to is also registered as a Windows Live ID, you should see one of the following two messages at the top of the page:
3a) If you received the invitation at an e-mail address that is NOT registered as a Windows Live ID, then you’ll see the following message:
![]()
To accept the invitation at your currently signed-in, primary Windows Live ID, click Move invitations. This will take all of the invitations sent to your other e-mail address, and connect them with this Windows Live ID so you can accept them here. Then, go ahead and accept the invitations you want (and ignore or block the ones you don’t want.)Note If any of these people are in your network already, then those invitations won’t be moved (so it’s possible you won’t see any new invitations).
3b) If instead, you received the invitation at a secondary e-mail address that IS registered as a Windows Live ID, then you should see the following message:
![]()
In this case, you should sign in with your primary Windows Live ID and re-invite the people you want to add to your network from that ID. Detailed instructions for inviting people to your network are in the next section. Then, you have two choices:
- If you don’t want or need the Windows Live ID where you received the invitations, then you should simply close that Windows Live ID account by going to https://account.live.com/CloseAccount.aspx and following the instructions there. The advantage of closing it is that now any future invitations that people send to you at the closed account can easily be moved and accepted as described above.
- If you still want to keep the Windows Live ID where you received the invitation, (or if you’re just not sure you want to close it yet), that’s fine. However, there is no simple way right now to move invitations from one Windows Live ID to another, so every time someone sends you a new invitation at the secondary Windows Live ID account, you will need to re-invite them from your primary account. More details about how to invite people are in the next section.
Situation: You use multiple Windows Live IDs, but you want to accept all invitations at one primary Windows Live ID.
As I mentioned above, unfortunately there is no simple way to move invitations from one Windows Live ID to another right now. However, you can manually re-invite people using your preferred Windows Live ID by following these steps:
-
From your invitation e-mail, click View profile (under the View invitation button).
-
Sign in with the Windows Live ID you wish to invite this person from.
-
On this person’s profile page, above their what’s new list, click Add to your network.
Alternatively, if you know the person’s e-mail address, you can go to http://profile.live.com/connect/, and type in their e-mail address. (By the way, this page is also a great way to add all the people you care about at once – you can easily import and invite your friends from Facebook or LinkedIn, or select people to bulk-invite from your Windows Live contact list (your Hotmail contacts) so you can start seeing their updates in the what’s new list and keep up with what they’re doing.)
It is our goal that the invitation process should go as smoothly as possible for you. If you have any other questions relating to invitations, please leave a comment and we will try to provide you with answers here or in a future blog post.

I get some multiple e mails but I don\’t like it. Because I just add some people on my profile, not messenger list. I don\’t know, how can it be. Before this space changes, I used to get too.
"If you don’t want or need the Windows Live ID where you received the invitations, then you should simply close that Windows Live ID ….. The advantage of closing it is that now any future invitations that people send to you at the closed account can easily be moved and accepted as described above. "Unless the account is a hotmail account and then you won\’t get any invites sent to that account because the email address won\’t exist.
help i need my previous email how do i go there?
@Josh: That is correct – a Hotmail account will not be accessible if you close the Windows Live ID. That is made evident in the details on the close account page. "You won\’t be able to sign in to Windows Live or other Microsoft services, or any other site where you use this sign-in name."However, many people sign-up for a Windows Live ID with a non-Live or non-Hotmail e-mail address, so these people may benefit. Still, thanks for further pointing out that detail.
This might be easier for most people to visualise if you open 2 browser windows side by side.In the left window, open your primary I.D, in the right window, open your other I.DThe invites you see in your left window have come in on the correct I.D, so these can just be accepted. The ones you see in your right window have come in on the wrong I.D. These have to be sorted out, and people sent new invites, and there is no easy direct way to do it.Once upon a time, it was possible to drag and drop an email address into hotmail, and then add it to your address book, but I\’m not sure if that still works.Another possibility, especially if there is a lot of them, is to open a simple text file, copy and paste the addresses into that, seperating each one with a comma. When you save it change the \’extension\’ (the bit at the end after the dot) from \’txt\’ to \’csv\’This makes it a \’comma seperated value\’ file and most email programs will import them all in one go. But again, the new hotmail may, or may not. Along with all keyboard and other shortcuts, this useful function seems to be flakey at best, and changes from computer to computer, and browser to browser, so another leap of faith needed here. If this doesn\’t work it might be easiest to send them all a mass email getting them to ask again ot the right I.D!Having done all this, (and possibly taken an asprin), to be on the safe side, click refresh on your hotmail window. I know it sounds daft, but a lot of the problems throughout live are caused by things called \’stack flow errors\’, brought about by the live programmers \’inventive\’ approach to scripting. Think of refreshing as quickly turning an hourglass over and back again if it gets stuck. So to summerise………….You put the left ones in.You take the right ones out…………(in, out, in, out; you shake them all about)You do the \’go for broke-y\’,then you turn it round.Ah, THATS what it\’s all about!Simpler language please, most people were in a coma by paragraph 3.

i have downloaded an album on my space but when i go to the pictures i can not open them can anyone help me please
This is the least of my problems. We have used Foldershare for over two years. Yesterday cut it off. Fine. I am on the Mac and when I download the client and run it, it says the version I have is "too old" and won\’t connect. It\’s the only version of Live Sync available!!! Terrible start from you all.
Ok So far the UI is pretty neat. It looks Like there is a lot of AJAX even better but I did notice some problem and it is not network or comp related as I have tried it on different networks and machines.1. Calender: When you click on the next month the browser becomes non responcive till I recieve a feedback. May be "processing" or "Updating" logo or animation or something will make us feel that we dont have to close the browser.2. Calenders Holidays, Birthdays dont show up to people who are looking at my calender which is public for everyone to see. 3. I constantly get disconnected message when I am accessing Spaces, Specially when I am logged in. 4, Widget to show Live calender in Spaces so that I can keep Mail, Spaces and all the calenders at one place. 5. Comment area used to be big and Rich Text. Now its really small. 6. I am still waiting for DEC 15th for all my network users to show up. 7. An application for mobile for Iphones is still not available, its important before facebook takes over the mobile medium. (not a browser appkication)8. Why Limit the size of file for skydrive. 9. There should me more use for LIVE Earth and Live Maps. 10. Missing Auto Play feature on Photos in Spaces other than slideshow. 11. Live Office should be a part of Live spaces too.12. Spaces Writer misses a lot of features from font types, text editing feature and so many more.13. More themes for Spaces.
I like it so far. It is pretty cool. Now I just need to find ways to sync the Outlook calendar with Live calendar
@ gurpreet. Since the changes to skydrive a lot of files, especially picture files are coming through corrupted. If you are lucky, it will only be the name. To fix this, RIGHT click on one of the files, select rename, and (assuming it\’s a jpeg) type \’.jpg\’ at the end (don\’t forget the dot) Obviously, use other extensions for other types (.bmp for bitmap, etc)If your unlucky, try downloading again (and again and again……..). You do seem to get a good version eventually, although in one case, I had to download seven times. Think of it a a Zen exercise in patience. (Then change to flickr :-{ )
@ Johnny. Good luck!
i want to change the windows live space address but i dont no how. it is something like c0othfrech etc . HELP!
@ bethan. Alas, this is one of the many things you\’re not allowed to do. I think we all have to realise that choice is no longer an option.
I AM NOT ABLE TO ACCESS MY SENT OR DRAFTS SECTION OF HOTMAIL. I NOTIFIED WINDOWS BUT HAVE NOT GOT A REPLY. I NEED HELP.
@bethan: You can give your space an alias (renaming it to something other than "cid-xxxxx") under the Options page. In the top-right corner, click "Options" -> "More options" -> "Spaces" (on the left) -> "Web address" (on the right). There you can set an easier-to-read name for your space. If you\’re referring to renaming your Profile link, that was unfortunately a last minute cut. We recognize that you want to be able to easily share your link with friends, but having that would mean that the pages would load slower, and we just didn\’t want to impact the experience in that way. We\’re looking into how we can get the best of both worlds – fast-loading pages and easy-to-remember links.
@Dwight (No name): Please go to http://feedback.live.com/ and select "Windows Live Hotmail", then submit your problem. We have dedicated staff that will work one-on-one with you to find out why you can\’t access your Sent or Drafts folders.
@gurpreet: If you could Private Message me with the details of this album with the photos you couldn\’t open, we can investigate to see what the problem is. I just tried downloading one of my albums and the pictures open properly. For what it\’s worth, I copied the picture straight from the SD card into the SkyDrive uploader.
@ richard. I had to retrieve 107 albums from peoples skydrives, and about a third of the m were corrupted. Mostly it was just the name, all the spaces and any punctuation (including the dot before the extension) were replaced by underscores. I hope this helps isolate the problem. Can I just say how good it is to get some official responses? Good on yer mate.
ps. also, every letter had been capitalised
@Dave Howes: If you can Private Message me the link of one of the corrupted albums if you still remember it, we can take a look. I will still investigate with the SkyDrive team if there is a known issue related to this.
Dear Mr. Shih,It\’s more than perfect and clearly demonstrated ….thanks
Just a quick clarification to one of my messages below. If you need assistance on why something doesn\’t work the way it should, you should be directing questions to http://support.live.com/. However, if you would like to leave some feedback, that should be done at http://feedback.live.com/.
how can i dump this e-mail on windows and get a new one, i dont want to delete it if i dont have too anyone thanks
@the/bluesman:You can create a new Live ID, or you can change your existing one – if it\’s not Hotmail-enabled. To change it, go to https://account.live.com and click \’Change\’. To create a new address, go to http://www.passport.net and click \’Sign up\’.
Please view my website and help me to improve it. Ideas and suggestions are most welcome.
Is there a possibility of having a comments system? able to comment on everything, its fun..please implement that
I like it so far. It is pretty cool. Now I just need to find ways to sync the Outlook calendar with Live calendar
its fun…………
How do i make msn windows live my primary email address?
@Richard Just one question, Will we get back New/updated spaces ?For me and a lot of people I know, spaces was always about blogging, it was our soapbox, and whether you liked or hated or laughed at what we said, didn\’t matter the point was people SAW what we said, now they don\’t! ( other than that is, people who are in your network already,) MSN hasn\’t so much taken our right to speak, just our capability of being heard, We are now speaking to an empty room! The function of new/updated spaces was to fill that room with passers by! So will we get this back, I really think it is an intrinsic, part of blogging!

I just installed Windows Live Messenger Beta today, and after finished why all my contact is disappear. On Windows Live Messenger Beta main window it says " Your contact doesn\’t have anyone….." in which it is not true. I checked the contact I\’ve in my contact list and in Email, the contact I marked to be messneger contact still there.I tried to add some friends again, but it doesn\’t work anything. Please help.Tussy
Probably like many others, after many days of unanswered questions I have given up with MSN and have now deleted my Space. As Mandxx says, it was great getting comments on blogs from passers by, but now that the Updated/New Spaces module has gone, I see no point in continuing to blog on MSN, I can do this very nicely on Facebook. It\’s a real shame that the one main advantage of Spaces over all the other blogging sites has now been removed.
You can also use your new Windows Live ID to sign in to the Windows Live home page and get started with all of our web services. Go to http://home.live.com
can we have new/ updated spaces back? i miss that. other wise whats the point? we\’re here to meet new people
Is this true? From: joepalmares@hotmail.comSubject: Windows Live!!! Verify Your Account Now To Avoid It Closed (VX2G99AAJ)Date: Sat, 13 Dec 2008 16:35:25 +0000Dear Account User; This Email is from Hotmail Customer Care and we are sending it to every Hotmail Email User Accounts Owner for safety. we are having congestion due to the anonymous registration of Hotmail accounts so we are shutting down some Hotmail accounts and your account was among those to be deleted. If you are still interested please confirm your account by filling the space below.Your User name, password, date of birth and your country information would be needed to verify your account. Warning!!! Account owner that refuses to update his/her account after two weeks of receiving this warning will lose his or her account permanently. Sincerely,The Windows Live Hotmail Team
DON\’T DO IT!If you return this, you will probably be giving your full account details to some sorry excuse for a human being, who, because of Lives new \’give a scammer an even break\’ policy, can log in to your account at the same time as you without you knowing. Having done this, even with the most basic hacking skills they can wreak all sorts of havoc, including retrieving any other personal stuff stored on your computer, (as far as your system is concerned, it\’s only sending the info to you!)Remember, no reputable organization would EVER ask you for information like this in an email, or on an unsecured website, and if they did, the only thing to do is to ditch them ASAP, because at some point, your security WILL be compromised.
Further to this, they are getting more sophisticated. I\’ve just got this one 3 times, for different banks…..Online Banking Sign-in Error——————————————————————————– For your security, access to Online Banking has been locked because the number of attempts to sign in exceeded the number allowed. To regain access, you must restore your account. Please click here and submin your information. Your security is important to us. If you are not aware of this situation, please contact us immediately at 1.800.933.6262. Want to confirm this email is from Bank of America? Sign in to Online Banking and select Alerts History to verify this alert. Want to get more alerts? Sign in to Bank of America Online Banking and click the "Manage Alerts" link in the "I want to…" box. Because email is not a secure form of communication, please do not reply to this email. If you have any questions about your account or need assistance, please call the phone number on your statement or go to Contact Us at ……… {web address was here, but I\’ve takenn it out in case!}This one is very clever. 1, it tells you NOT to reply, because emails are insecure. 2, because going to varification or signing up for alerts will download a trojan onto your computer which will provide fake alerts and varification. Signing in to give the information will take you to a very authentic looking secure website, but it is a fake.Of course, the obvious hint to me is that I have never had an account at any of these banks!
I must admit, Lives new networking system is leading to all sorts of cra….,sorry (keep it clean) \’interesting emails\’ in my live inbox, that I never used to get before. So far this weekend I\’ve recieved no less than four offers of marriage from various young ladies in Africa. Apparrently I\’m \’eminently suitable\’. Is it my ineffable charm shining through? Also many network invitations sent in languages so obscure that my computer can only show them as rows of question marks. Now, I\’m sure that ???????????? is a very nice chap (or, I suppose chappess, given my apparently undniable online pulling power). But we don\’t seem to have anything in common, not even vowels and consanants.I wouldn\’t be at all suprised to find that these changes have been unleashed to coincide with the publication of a new book, (probably called \’Identity Theft For Dummies\’), which will explain how to get the best out of the system. The people I DO want to contact are the ones who have sent me private messages over the pas few days, BUT, when I\’ve eventually clicked my way through to the reply screen, most times I find that I can\’t reply, because of some totally unrelated settings they have had to make, and to answer a simple question, We have to join each others networks. Live will then inform me of their every move forevermore. Can\’t we have a nice simple button labelled \’answer\’? (or if that makes a button too big to be cool, how about \’reply\’?) I realise this is a massive leap in technology, after all, this sort of facility only started appearing on the BBS sites around 1982, and you need time to catch up, but surely with your combined brain power…………………..
David Howes, I do so enjoy reading your comments here! Some have been very helpful; guess someone\’s on the ball around this \’new joint\’ and many of your comments such as the previous, are very entertaining, lol and very true. I\’ve also gotten so many requests to join networks and I can\’t read a word of the language in the email! I guess sometimes things are soooo bad, that if you don\’t laugh about them you are going to cry! Take care, lol
…and to add, as soon as I returned to my home page…Surprise!! I got an invite from someone from a network called \’hi5.com\’!It\’s one thing to get invites from Windows Live, but the ones from all these other \’aliens\’ networks,,,not too happy to get those period!,,,and I don\’t even have my name as part of my email, so how they get my address,,,I do not know :S
HEY EVERY1 IM NEW TO THIS ME AND MY FIANCEE HAVE JUST RECENTLY CONNECTED WITH IT, SO I HOPE PEOPLE WILL ADD US.WE ARE HERE TO MAKE FREINDS AND GETTING TO KNOW NICE PEOPLE.
@ lady X. Thank you for your kind words. I checked out hi5, and they do seem to be real , but a bit suspect. Among the quotes I found were……"Although hi5\’s advertising claims it to be the third largest social network in the world, there is no independent evidence to back up this claim."And…………..Although created and headquartered in the United States, it is more popular in other countries, being ranked 16th in the world only among people who have the Alexa toolbar installed on their browser. but only 83rd in the US.The telling phrase there is \’Alexa toolbar\’, which is one of the dodgier toolbars,(they collect site information about everywhere you go, but refuse to say what they do with it), and it seems to be compulsory if you use their site so not totally legit!Seems like the floodgates are open though, as anyone can add almost any \’web activity\’, even if it\’s one they have just made up themselves.Honestly, if I ever become rich, I\’m going to buy myself a live developer. I could have hours of fun putting them into a circular room, and telling them to stand in the corner.Feel free to PM me if you have any worries
Thanx a lot Dave. Will do. Seems you have quite a knack for this \’tech\’ stuff. Also since it\’s seems like such a \’colder\’ place up here in spaces, it\’s nice to get a nice comment from someone for a change. I guess it\’s just a sign of the times,,,first the world\’s going to pot and now \’spaces\’! This truly must be a sign that the worlds coming to an end!!
Although I haven\’t quite given up totally; still hanging on to some hope that the Windows Live people can address some of the problems that many are having and are just plain disgusted with. I\’ll just hang on a bit longer, but I tell you, I\’m teetering on the edge!
@Dave and ladyx …I have to date received 7 emails/invitations from dubious, middle eastern "gentleman", I was beginning to think my profile had been added to "need an English passport.com!"So glad it\’s not just me!
and too add, as one of those invitations was from "free dom cry man sasa" (about 15 comments below!) one wonders where exactly they are getting the addresses from!
Hey every one just stop by to say hello
@ Mandxx, as a Terry Pratchett fan, have you noticed the similarity between the new layout and \’L space\’?My latest conspiracy theory is that all the members of the live team have bought shares in a mouse factory, and they\’re hoping to drum up business by causing a catastrophic worldwide mouse failure due to excessive clicking
On a serious note though, I think Lady x has hit on something, about it seeming a colder place. At one time, it was a natural reaction, if someone toddled along for a chat, to trust them. Now the natural reaction is to be a bit suspicious. I know that all our personal information was, technically, just as exposed as it is now, but it didn\’t seem to matter then, I was never bothered by anyone. People used to call to say interesting things, now they just go \’emkemmgbnmdlfgblmgbk\’. I think most of us are feeling this, although maybe some can\’t quite put their finger on it
hi bors ji estan genialesz
Just wondering if anyone can help me? I have a number of photo albums called Blog Images and I would like clean them up and move all blog images to one album.
Hi Dave, About this \’cold\’ feeling in spaces…it\’s not only having to do with people being able to easily read what comments you might write on someone\’s blog, yes that ability was there before ,but it wasn\’t \’up-front-and-in-your-face as it is now, that is until you change the settings on your profile to not show blog comments, but then you are left without the ability to see if someones posted a new blog that might be of an interesting read. I just find it quite annoying and have a feeling of being a \’voyeur\’ when I see comments on others profiles that were not meant for me. I personally opt out of having that stuff on my profile or the home page where you see what others are doing. But I do want to see the new blog postings so I wish \’Windows Live\’ could separate the blog option from the blog comments as it has been done with notes and guestbook comments. That can solve the problem on your own page somewhat but not at others profile pages where some choose the option to show everything. Everything seems so disjointed and I know some of my friends whom had quite a following of loyal friends, have lost contact with them and to this day still cannot find them! And this is not to mention the fact that you can\’t just click on a profile pic to see what\’s new or even where there space is. Now I found out something interesting yesterday when I decided to put the friends module on my personal space, that from there if you click on the pic left side you have a number of selections INCLUDING THE PERSON\’S SPACE. That was something I wasn\’t aware of because like I said, you can ONLY do that when the module of friend pics is on your personal space and since I don\’t have many right now, I do not know how many they put in the module on your main personal page. What I had done prior to that was to first put my personal space as my home page in IE, that way no matter where I am in the Internet, I can get to that page quickly. Then I put a module list of each of my friends and put their personal space and one directly to their questbooks so that has helped me alot!! Yes it took some time doing ,but worth it in the end and also makes my space feel more personal to me. Yes you also can put the links easily in the \’favorites\’ or bookmarks\’ too, but I chose to have the list on my space,,,make it feel more like \’my space\’. I think it would be better if they could put all or most of your friends in a module on your personal space;at least have 50-100 profile pics,,,there\’s room! This was not an improvement doing the way they have now as apposed to the previous way. Mandxx has a legitimate complaint regarding updated spaces since she wants exposure on her blog. I also see that the ability to load photos and not being able to reorder them is a problem and a pain for many. So yes, there are many things that could improve; I haven\’t given up that \’all hope is gone… yet. I think we probably just need to be a bit patient and yes, put your complaints in,,,the more people who do, hopefully these issues will be addressed so that people are satisfied. Some changes are inevitable in life and I suppose also here at \’spaces\’ but that doesn\’t mean that we can\’t \’keep our voice\’ and express our discontent, respectfully of course. Remember it\’s \’the squeaky wheel that gets the oil\’…so all we can do is put our complaints in and hope ,just hope that the Windows Live people will be listening and address some of these irritating glitches and annoyances that has taken some of the life out of \’Windows Live Spaces.\’Have a nice day and also a Merry Christmas!
@lady The amount of friends/networks shown depends on your space layout, if you have the module, across the full width of your space ie: straight under the title/tag you should see up to 30! that should make it easier for you to visit friends, or at least 30 of them – I don\’t have that many either, so what I\’ll do when it gets beyond 30 I don\’t know, shame you can\’t reorder that to so the more "important ones" are up front! it would be so much easier, if when you went to "people" you could then click on their pic, as you usedto be able to from your contact list on Hotmail, I actually wrote to MSN when that changed a while ago and got a nice leter back saying it would be something to be considered and my suggestion would be put forward to the team, It was probably filed where most suggestions are!@Dave …… L-Space yes deinitely!! and our comments go into the black hole that is the library, maybe we should bring a banana!Got 3 more invites this morning only one was genuine, I think…..I have to say I\’ve got round most of the minor problems irritating as they are, routine has been set now, click on my space from messenger, ignore the first "home page"( why the hell have they got 2 anyway!) click on second home page click on comments click to go to profile, click to space, click comments again, click on friends profile, click on theeir space, click on comments …….. and by that time I have totally forgotten what I was going to say!! and have to go back to their comment and start the whole proccess again!That\’d 10 clicks!! to what usesd to be about 3!! SO yes Dave I think your conspiricy theory may be correct!
hello is there any way that the invites i gave out for msn groups can be shown in my space as well?
Mandxx, THAnX FOR THE REPLY. i CANNOT SEE WHY THEY can\’t fit in at least up to 50 in the module,,,and YES, I think liked the older version where you could at least keep some of your most loyal friends where you can easily access their space, but actually there are ways to work around that,,,not the biggest complaint on my part. Glad to see that at least on the friends module you can directly link to that friend\’s personal space. One more thing that\’s a little bit annoying is that they seem to have one too many pages,,,,the spaces page, windows live page ,profile page and then your personal space,,,Why cannot they combine the spaces page with the windows live space and give us the ability to see our private messages and comments left on our blog like they had it on the original home page. Some of these things are just redundant and a waste of time, IMHO. Oh and regarding \’invites\’,,,I got a doozy this morning,,,checked out the guys profile page and my face turned red……the most xxx=rated explicit porn!!! I think we are going to be seeing more of that ,although that\’s not the first time I\’ve ran into a porn site ate Windows Live Space,,,,Have a nice day, nice chatting with ya.
@ Nell, Ah, if only we could! It\’s hard to accurately describe how the current gallery system works, although the words \’pigs breakfast\’ come to mind. Alas, live seems to have contracted cyber-altzheimers and can no longer remember how to do these things any more.
Just been doing a little clicking, and discovered something I hadn\’t realsied before, to do with albums, wasn\’t really bothered before with the probs other people had had … BUT!!! not only can you not change the order of the pics when you upload, BUT the order of my existing pics in albums has been changed! (probably to chronological!) which as they were grouped specifically to make a bit of sense (the albums called "Good days….") now it doesn\’t and other delete them all put them on again in the right order ………. I just have one question (actually this is a second question) WHY?
There is a way of making a whole page of links to friends spaces. Try this………….1, go to http://www.my.live.com . This is your \’my live\’ page, (or \’windows live personalised experience\’ as they now call it. Catchy name, eh?)2, from the tabs across the top, click \’add a page\’. Give it a good title, maybe \’\'windows live personalised experience personal network contact tracker", or maybe just \’Spaces\’3, in another tab or browser window, open the space you want to add. In the top right hand corner, under the tools tab, click on \’add to live.com\’. This will add a lttle box with the latest updates etc to your new page. Clicking on the name at the top will open the whole space, clicking on a listed blog entry will open that blog entry.4, add lots more! There is a limit on the number, but I can\’t remember what it is. It\’s so big though that it will never be a problem.5, {@ Mandxx, skip this bit, you won\’t like it!} If your lazy, or the majority of your friends have boring spaces, at the top right of your new page, go to options and select \’screen reader mode\’ Then, if you hover over the word \’more\’ next to an entry, it will open up in a little box, without going to the site.I hope this helps everyone keep in touch. One other thing – the list sort of updates by itself from time to time, but it\’s a bit random. Clicking the refresh button, or opening the page allways updates all the entries
One more thing, if you don\’t have your new spaces page open, or you don\’t have any \’my live\’ pages open, then clicking on \’add to live.com\’ will add it to the FIRST page of your \’my live\’ setup. If this happens, drag the box onto the TAB of the page you want it on, and it will make a copy there
@dave …..LOL …….. don\’t know what you mean?? ….. I haven\’t got any boring friends!!
hehe!
@ Mandxx, what about me???????????? How DARE you accuse me of interestingness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Dave …. LOL ………….. what can I say …… laughing too much!!
@Christine Anderson: What the "primary e-mail address" means is just the one that you use most often, so in the first scenario, it means that you\’re getting invites sent to an e-mail address that you don\’t do all your daily e-mails with.

i use an \’incredimail\’ program that would download all emails from my various accounts, can you tell me why I cannot download from my hotmail now onto my pc like i used to, i have an Error = 401,Authorization Required\’ message come up. This is so annoying, as it was so convenient. I just want to cancel Windows live altogether because of this inconvenience. and dont say your \’Live Mail\’ would do the same, because it does not load pretty backgrounds or allow for quick access to gif images when you want to add them. I dont use \’Outlook\’\’ or \’Exchange\’ for this reason.
@HoneyHaving a Windows Live Space will not grant anyone else access to your e-mail. The only way someone else will be able to read your e-mail is if you give them your account address and password and they log in as you. Windows Live does not allow other accounts to read your e-mail. If you have given someone else access to your account you should immediately change your password. Instructions on how to do this are available here:https://help.live.com/Help.aspx?market=en-US&project=LiveIDv1&querytype=topic&query=Accountv1_CONC_StrongPassword.htmIf you need to reset your password because you can no longer log into your account you can find instructions on how to do so here:https://help.live.com/Help.aspx?market=en-US&project=LiveIDv1&querytype=topic&query=Accountv1_PROC_ResetPasswordBySecretAnswer.htmIf you want to delete your space (even though having a space has no effect on your e-mail) you can do so by: – Logging into your space – Clicking on the Options link and selecting "General" – At the bottom of the page clicking the "Delete your space" button
