These service notifications are only used for urgent issues but unfortunately, somebody made a mistake that caused this message to be sent out. We will definitely be reviewing our process to make sure we avoid such mistakes in the future.

I have received several messages over the past few weeks stating that my account would be closed unless I provided my name, birthdate and password. the message background and website looked just like Windows Live, not like the picture above. For the last week my email as been taking an inordinate amount of time (over a 1/2 hour sometimes and then not at all) to display. It just keeps circling and circling and never appears. Alot of people are having problems. I did too. Try to go create a dulicate account in your e-mail. See if it works then. It did for me.

Yeah. Well I downloaded the new Windows Live Messenger and I cant sign in. I have the error code 80080005 <— I guess meaning that i have no "gateway". IF ANYONE can help me with this. If I cant fix it. I will go back to the older versions of Windows Live. But i would like to update.

Ever since I upgraded to IE 8, my system has been messed up. I get regular messages about a corrupted search file, and my internet is constantly generating messages about errors. I tried to delete IE8 and move back to IE7, but my system won\’t allow me to do so. My Live mail is slow and locks up often. What happened with 8 that has made the system such a mess? I regularly get the pop-up message in Window\’s Live Messenger over my little "blue guy" in my system tray stating "You were signed out from here because you signed in to a version of Messenger that doesn\’t let you sign in to more than one place. Click here to sign in again." I do seem to have an icon that recurs for .net messenger from my start link, but nothing in my "add/remove" file, as I\’d thought deleting such just may help. I\’m not techy enough to consider that I could tweek something in my registry to fix this bug of the last several days, and could really use an assist. Suggestions? By the way, I upgraded my Windows Live Messenger a couple of days ago in hopes it would help, but to no avail.
